Where are you from?

I was born on the Gulf of Mexico. Veracruz MX.

Where do you live now?

I split my time between NYC and NC. I still keep a studio in NC near my relatives but I travel a lot, trying to build my brand or just shooting.

Tell us a bit about your background?

I’m an art lover, I grew up in an artistic family. My sister is an amazing painter and illustrator. I prefer photography, love the technology; it’s so fast! From all the arts I think is the highest tech. :) 

How would you describe your style?

I like to portray my subjects as bigger than life, and full of confidence like we can all be movie stars. It's … a glimpse of beauty, boldness, femininity and machismo to show that we are all somebody.

Where do you draw your inspiration from?

I’m a magazine junkie, and always have been. In high school I collected fashion magazines, really I still do.

I love the old-school photographers, the 80s and 90s models. Their work was amazing. Now every time I drive around or travel I see so many potential backgrounds for photo shoots. I love the color too, it’s something I’m working on making it a bigger part of my work. 

What do you think are your career highlights?

Highlights mmm I’m still growing, I don’t think I’ll ever stop learning and discovering. But NYFW has been great. It has opened so many doors. I’m planning to do Miami FW and art-based this summer. Next year, LA FW. I’ve been able to connect with production and PR firms and designers here in NYC. 

When did your passion for photography starts?

Probably in my early high school years. Then in college, I was crazy about shooting everything, at every moment, with my friends. Either my old manual film Pentax or my digital Sony. At the moment I didn’t think about it as a profession just an expensive hobby. Love what you do and you never have to work a day in your life. Follow your passion.

What are your biggest accomplishments as a photographer?

Mmm not yet there. I have big goals so I’ll save this question for later. :)

Where do you usually like to go to photography?

Oh man, I love city life, I love shooting rooftops, I love lights.
